Keeping the farm in the family focus of upcoming workshop
Free workshop helps teach farm owners how to keep their business in the family
GLENWOOD CITY — Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is hosting a free educational workshop to help teach farmers steps to take to keep their business in the family. Called “Keeping the Farm in the Family,” the 50-minute workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Glenwood City High School, 850 Maple Street, Glenwood City, WI 54013. The workshop is presented by Joan Bartz, Thrivent Financial Consultant and Paul Brown, Estate Planning Attorney.
“Keeping the Farm in the Family” assists local families facing the transition of passing the farm to the next generation. Participants in the workshop learn to protect their assets today and in the future, identify and overcome transition obstacles and develop a plan to smoothly transition their business and maintain family harmony.
