Election notices for surrounding areas; nomination papers due Jan. 2

The April 2, 2013 election notices have been released and the final day to file nomination papers is on Wednesday, January 2 at 5:00 p.m.

In the City of Glenwood, the following offices are up for election: Alderperson-incumbent Crystal Booth, Alderperson- incumbent Terrance Klinger, Alderperson- incumbent Steven Lee. The term for mayor and alderperson begins on April 16, 2013 and the term for all other offices begins on May 1, 2013. If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

The School District of Glenwood City has the following offices up for election: Board member to succeed incumbent Lisa B. Kaiser, Board member to succeed incumbent Lori Klinger and Board member to succeed incumbent John Logghe. A campaign registration statement and a declaration of candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. January 2, 2013 to the school district clerk. If a primary is necessary, it will be held on February 19, 2013.

In the Village of Boyceville, the following offices are up for election: Village President, to succeed Gilbert Krueger, Trustee, to succeed the incumbents Keith Sorenson, Bud Gilbertson and John Hellmann and Judge, to succeed the incumbent Bradley Erickson.

The School District of Boyceville has the following offices up for election: three-year term to succeed incumbent Timothy Sempf and a three-year term to succeed incumbent John Zavodny. The campaign registration statement and a declaration of candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. January 2, 2013 to the District Office. If a primary is necessary, it will be held on Tuesday, February 19.

Townships 

The candidates for the following townships will be nominated at a caucus to be held in the month of January.

In the Town of Emerald, the following offices are up for election: Chairman to succeed incumbent Henry Hurtgen, Supervisors to succeed incumbents Francis Klatt and Tom Wink, Treasurer to succeed incumbent Donald Prinsen and Clerk to succeed incumbent Barbara Prinsen.

In the Town of Forest, the following offices are up for election: Chairperson to succeed incumbent Jaime Junker, Supervisors to succeed incumbents Richard Steinberger and Patrick Scepurek, Clerk to succeed incumbent Jennifer Anderson and Treasurer to succeed incumbent Nikki Sunday.

In the Town of Glenwood, the following offices are up for election: Town Chairperson to succeed incumbent Joesph Draxler, Town Supervisor to succeed incumbent Chuckie DeSmith, Town Supervisor to succeed incumbent Rick Obermueller, Town Clerk to succeed incumbent Juanita James and Town Treasurer to succeed incumbent Sarah McCarthy.

In the Town of Hay River, the following offices are up for election: Town Chairman to succeed incumbent Stanley Andrews, Supervisor to succeed incumbent Ned Hahn, Supervisor to succeed incumbent Greg Bakke, Clerk to succeed incumbent Michelle Drury and Treasurer to succeed incumbent Susan Hitz.

In the Town of New Haven, the following offices are up for election: Chairperson to succeed incumbent Roger Hanson, Supervisor to succeed incumbent Marv Prestrud, Supervisor to succeed incumbent Donald Siniff, Clerk to succeed incumbent Diane Duerst and Treasurer to succeed incumbent Laura Ulrich.

In the Town of Tiffany, the following offices are up for election: Municipal Officers to succeed current incumbents, Chairman to succeed incumbent Tom Humpal, 1st Supervisor to succeed incumbent Lee Kegan, 2nd Supervisor to succeed incumbent Scott B. Anderson, Clerk to succeed incumbent Karen Adams and Treasurer to succeed incumbent Elaine Drinkman.

In the Town of Springfield, the following offices are up for election: Town Chairman to succeed incumbent Bill Reusch, Town Supervisor to succeed incumbent Dean Fayerweather and Town Supervisor to succeed incumbent Jim Mahoney. Candidates will be nominated at a caucus that will be held on January 14 at 6:30 p.m.

In the Town of Stanton, the following offices are up for election: Town Chairman, to succeed the incumbent Richard Monn, Town Supervisor, to succeed the incumbent Bob Anderson and Town Supervisor, to succeed the incumbent Tim Mittlestadt Jr. A caucus for the said township will be held at the Stanton Town Shop in Knapp on Monday, January 21, 2013 immediately following the regular town board meeting.

Villages

The candidates for the following villages will be nominated at a caucus to be held in the month of January.

In the Village of Downing, the following offices are up for election; President, to succeed the incumbent Gilbert Mounce, Trustee, to succeed the incumbent David Bischel, Treasurer, to succeed the incumbent Sharon Bundy and Clerk, to succeed the incumbent Kathy Phalin. The candidates for said election were nominated at a caucus that was held on Tuesday, December 11.

In the Village of Knapp, the following offices are up for election: Village President to succeed incumbent Ronald Finder, Trustees to succeed incumbents Richard Anderson, Eugene Lemke and Mark Berg.

In the Village of Wheeler, the following offices are up for election: Village President to succeed James M. Carter and Trustee to succeed incumbent Marlene A. Larson.

In the Village of Wilson, the following offices are up for election: Village President, to succeed Dennis Cowan and Trustee, to succeed the incumbent Doug Ray.
