DC Sheriff’s Office receives Speed Enforcement grant
The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office recently received an $11,000.00 Speed Enforcement grant.
According to Sheriff Dennis Smith the money will be used to fund additional patrol time where officers will focus not only on speed but things like impaired driving and safety restraint violations. He added that distracted driving enforcement will also be a focus of the effort.
Sheriff Smith said that officers will sometimes be assigned in teams to work what’s known as “High Volume Enforcement” targeting areas through out the county where these issues are more prevalent.
He said also that the effort is intended to reduce related crashes.
