By Kelsie Hoitomt GLENWOOD CITY – The Glenwood City boys basketball team hosted the Elk Mound Mounders last Thursday. The Hilltoppers had a rough match up against the so far undefeated Mounders as they were shut down 29-58.

By Kelsie Hoitomt GLENWOOD CITY — The Glenwood City wrestling team squared off against the Cadott Hornets last Tuesday night, Dec. 4, at home for their second dual meet win of the season. Even with two open weight classes the Hilltoppers’ were still able to pull off the win against the Hornets 48-30.

By Kelsie Hoitomt GLENWOOD CITY – The 16th annual John Timm Wrestling Tournament was held last Saturday in the Glenwood City gymnasiums. Schools participating in the tournament besides Glenwood City were Triton, Somerset, Amery, Spooner and Neillsville.

They hosted the Mondovi Buffaloes, who had played two games already this season, and were defeated 40-62 last Friday night.

By Kelsie Hoitomt GLENWOOD CITY — The Glenwood City wrestling team looks to have another solid year under the leadership of senior “Hammers” Austin Moe, Riley Knops and Adam Holmquist. Moe and Knops return to the team as 2011-2012 state champions and Holmquist placed third at the state championship.
