Fire in New Haven Township destroys shed

FIRE DESTROYED A SHED and 60 large round bales of this year’s hay crop on the Jim Huber farm at E2303 County Road V in New Haven Township Saturday morning, November 6th. The Boyceville Fire Department responded to the scene and called for aid from several other departments including Sand Creek, Glenwood City, Colfax, and Menomonie. In the picture the smoldering hay bales were moved away from other buildings on the farm and doused by firefighters. Colfax Girls Cross Country Team heading to State

STATE BOUND — The Colfax girls’ cross country team captured the WIAA Division 3 sectional championship in Boyceville this past Saturday, October 23. The Lady Vikings scored 87 points to edge out Cameron for the team title and earn their first state berth since 2015.
