Welcome back, everybody!!! As most of you know Cheryl and I sold the bowling alley July 1st. There was still a lot of people who said they miss The Ol’ Rockpile column, so I said I would give it another shot.
We did purchase a new scoring system and monitors for the bowling alley, which we installed in May.
Brent Standaert started out the first week on fire as Brent put together games of 218, 257, and a 269 for a 744 series. Great bowling, son!! He bowls for Obermueller Trucking on the Hometown League!!!
Our Thursday Senior League starts this Thursday, September 23 at 12:30.
The Wednesday Afternoon League will have a Fun Day September 29th and start their regular season on October 6th.
Cheryl and I would like to thank all of the leagues and individuals who either sent flowers, cards, phone calls, texts, or came to Cheryl’s mom’s visitation and funeral last Saturday, September 11th. Your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated!!
(If you would like me to mention your name as “Rockpile Readers of the Week”, send your name to leaker@cltcomm.net. A joke or story would be appreciated also!!)
