Eau Claire volleyball club adds boys’ team

New to the Eau Claire Air Volleyball Club, as of 2022, is a boys club team. This season there are three “local” young men that join the team including Glenwood City’s Garet Eggert, as well as Jackson Gehweiler from Elk Mound and Jacob Schradle of Cumberland.

The team competed in their first tournament of the 2023 season at the NRC Winter Warmup in Woodbury on Sunday, January 15, 2023. This young team was able to tackle their competition with ease, match after match, taking first place in the tournament. Match scores are as follow: (1) 25-8; 25-21, (2) 25-11; 26-24, (3) 25-11; 25-16, (4) 25-16; 25-9 and (5) 25-23; 20-25; 15-4. 

Some highlights from this tournament include Eggert’s triple double with 18 kills, 18 digs and 12 aces. Gehweiler finished with 22 digs while Schradle finished with 15 digs and 7 serve aces. To learn more about Eau Claire Air Volleyball Club, visit: https://www.ecairvolleyball.com.
