Traffic stop results in eight Felony charges against local man

GLENWOOD CITY — On the evening of November 30th, Officer Justin Malean of the Glenwood City Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 900 block of First Street in Glenwood City.
According to a news release from the Glenwood City Police Department, Officer Malean indentified the male driver of the vehicle as Carson Newville, 39 of Elmwood and discovered that Newville had a valid warrant for his arrest.
While conducting a warrant arrest and transport, Officer Malean located multiple items of contraband on Newville. He was found to be in possession of 129.3 grams of Methamphetamine, 2.3 grams of Cocaine, Marijuana, Oxycodone Hydrochloride, and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Carson Newville is currently being held in the St. Croix County jail and has been charged with eight felony charges and two misdemeanor charges relating to this incident.
