Wow! The weather has sure warmed up. Hopefully it stays that way. We are looking at some gardening books, and starting to think about what to plant in our flower boxes this year.
We started our week off with exercises, and did some face time visits.
Tuesday morning was church day, so tuned in Youtube for many residents. We were unable to go to Havenwood, so we did manicures, and did some cleaning of the office, which is still not quite done, but is looking better. We’re still in need of a few more totes to store things in, but it’s getting there.
We once again had in-house beauty shop this week. Hopefully next week the beautician will be able to return.
We also were unable to do Bingo this week, so we did room visits, some puzzles, cards, shaker box, as well as delivering a whole pile of cards from the elementary student council kids. The kids did a great job, and residents and tenants really appreciated them. You brightened their day!
Thursday was exercise day again, and we continued with room visits, cards, manicures and shaker box. I learned a new card game this week from the hubby. He played it with the brothers this week. It’s called golf. We played a couple of rounds on Tuesday night so he could teach me how to play. I guess it must have been beginner’s luck, as I totally whomped him. Paula was my first try at teaching the residents, and she also whomped me! So I think we have a new game to add to our calendar.
Popcorn day and Johnny Cash’s birthday finished out the week. It was dress in black day, and we put videos of Johnny on the TVs for the residents who wanted them. We apparently have a lot of Johnny Cash admirers, as many people wanted to watch the videos. Cheese and crackers, wine, and Hawaiian Punch were served for afternoon snack.
We have one birthday coming up this week, and that is Selma Sloth on the 1st. We have 5 other March birthdays, but they all fall in 10 days toward the end of the month.
Have a good week and stay safe.
