Mr. Matt Lamb, music teacher at Glenwood City, has been selected as a staff member to the Wisconsin Middle School Honors Project. Mr. Lamb will serve as the brass section coach for the state honors orchestra.
Section coaches are invited to the Honors staff based on their musical expertise, leadership and superior teaching abilities. Section coaches serve for three consecutive years.
The WSMA Middle Level State Honors Music Project offers musically accomplished youth the opportunity to rehearse and perform with nationally-known conductors in a professional setting. All Honors groups perform at the Wisconsin State Music Conference. Middle Level State Honors students receive their music in August and meet for the first time the day before their fall performance. The rehearsal day and formal concert will take place in the Madison area.
Lamb stated, “I’m very honored to be part of the honors staff. I welcome the opportunity to take on a new challenge. I have seen the benefit of the honors program for several of our students.”
