Sunday found fans on both sides of the aisle weeping. The Vikings and the Packers lost. A sad state of affairs. Monday, after everyone recovered, was a good day. There’s always tomorrow, right. Wrong! It could happen again. Yikes!
To help relieve the stress of the weekend we did some exercises. That helped, temporarily at least.
Tuesday we were waiting for the shoe to drop. Our first significant snow storm. A little early but we’ll take it. I love it myself as I am a lover of winter snowy days.
Wednesday really turned into as they say “in the blink of an eye.” Wednesday also seems to be our busiest day. We have exercises in the morning and then trivia in the afternoon (can you keep up?)
This week’s trivia was called “hodge podge.” It was a little bit of everything.
For instance the two countries that don’t sell Coca Cola are Cuba and North Korea. So don’t ask for it there. The Canary Islands were named after dogs. I thought they were named after birds. Another one wrong. The country with the shortest people is Indonesia. I thought it was Luxembourg. I was there in 1974 and felt like a giant at 5’6”! The country that records the most earthquakes is Japan. Here I thought it was California. Duh.
Looking upward, the next solar eclipse is going to happen in 2024. Here’s one for you. Is the Sun a planet, star or satellite? You’re right, a star.
The Moon does not shine its own light. What? Apparently, the Moon shines as a result of sunlight reflection. The Moon reflects only 7% of the Sun’s light and then glows softly. Here, I thought the moon did its own thing. And lastly, looking downward, there’s a flower that could kill your cat, lilies. Pretty, but possibly deadly. Now, put that in your pipe and smoke it.
That wraps it up for this week, remember there’s still time to vote!
