Glenhaven News
Oct. 17-23
Merry Christmas, everyone. You might know that to go along with the coronavirus, we would have the snowiest October ever. What a deal! At least the kids seem to appreciate the snow.
On a much lighter note, we started last week off with our Halloween and fall trivia. The residents did an awesome job, especially Bev and Paula. Our game was “What am I?” There was one clue I would like to send out to our readers to figure out, as we had no idea what the game mentioned was until we searched the internet. The part of the clue was “Boys play conkers with me.” We had no idea what conkers was. Perhaps some of our readers remember this game.
We also did our exercises on Monday and Thursday mornings.
Tuesday was church day, and as usual, services as well as Bible study were put on residents’ TVs by the activity department.
Bingo was the afternoon activity on Tuesday and Wednesday. Biggest winners were Betty, Paula and Willard.
The beauty shop was not open this week, so Carol did some of the ladies hair in their rooms.
Halloween arts and crafts were the project for Thursday. Residents and tenants have all been enjoying making their creations. When the fall ones are done, we can start on Christmas.
We had no birthdays this week, but next week we will have two Halloween time babies-Robert Peterson and Donald Lichter.
Have a good week. It sounds like it may warm up a bit, so enjoy!
Happy Halloween to all! Unfortunately, we will be unable to have Trick or Treaters at Glenhaven this year. The residents are disappointed, but we do not feel it is a safe thing for us to do.
