I guess the weather doesn’t quite know what to do yet. We went back to some beautiful days this week, and today (Friday), they are talking up to 80 degrees. Works for me!
We had many outside visitors this week, which is exactly what we hoped for.
Three of our residents/tenants celebrated birthdays this week-Chuck DeSmith, Christella Beyrer and Norma Schlegel. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL!
We had a very busy week. Exercises were on Monday and Thursday. Like to keep everyone limbered up.
Bingo was started two days a week this month, so we can get more people involved. It’s not possible to get to three households in an afternoon, so we’re changing things up a bit. We’ll see how it goes. Holy Cross for donated quarters for Bingo, even though they can’t come and play with us at the present time. The residents love their Bingo, so your gift is much appreciated.
Many residents watched church on their TVs on Tuesday, and several are also taking part in Pastor Jonathan’s Bible Study sessions on Youtube. Keep it up, Pastor. They’re really liking it.
Our monthly Resident Council meeting was held by going room to room on Wednesday. Any issues are brought to the attention of the department head involved to be resolved.
Thursday afternoon the activity department spent some time down at Havenwood assisting the residents with pumpkin decorating. There was quite a variety, but all were sure cute!
Popcorn was enjoyed on Friday morning, and in the afternoon we did a Halloween craft with the residents out of old jar lids. They turned out very cute also. Barb Drinkman and Gail Smith donated canning lids and rings. We have another craft day coming up on Thursday where we will be using the rings.
Nicole DeMar donated for the pumpkins. We’ll use them to brighten up Glenhaven’s entrance. Anything to lift people’s “spirits” right now is a great thing!
Have a great week and stay well.
