Our collective sympathy goes out to Carlton DeWitt on the loss of his wife Paula Jean. Our thoughts are with you at this time.
Sunday many of the residents could be seen watching the Packers or the Vikings. I think the Packers came out happier.
Monday and Tuesday was laundry day for several of our residents. We have a nice set of washers and dryers so it’s pretty easy and it doesn’t cost anything!
Wednesday we got a surprise visit from Ned Hahn driving a horse and wagon.
Everyone went and got their hats and enjoyed the view. Jill Logghe was also alongfor the ride. Wednesday was also our trivia day. This week’s topic was on a variety of animals.
If you own a dog, take a look. It probably has three eyelids! We learned that the world’s largest rodent is the capybara (of course we knew that)!
One hundred and fifty species become extinct every day. That is sad news.
I love lobster and we found out that their blood is blue. Very interesting!
Apparently macaroni isn’t just food but a name for a certain kind of penguin, along with its emperor and chinstrap.
If a crocodile sticks its tongue out at you, chances are it isn’t one. Crocodiles can’t stick their tongues out.
Thursday the ladies and gents got some attention in the beauty/barber shop. That’s a huge deal in Havenwood.
Friday was “B” day. Baking Club and Bingo! The ladies made a good treat for us to eat at 3:00.
Remember you’re always welcome to visit us at our windows. Do it before the snow flies!
Oh yeah, one more trivia question. What was the name of the dog on the Cracker Jack box? I’ll tell you next week!
Happy Fall Y’all!
Lois Kilde
