Leonard Parent
We started out in August and ended up in September! How does that happen? Oh well, we’ll go with it. Every month I feature a resident of the month. This week the spotlight is on Mr. Leonard Parent. Leonard has lived in Glenwood City for thirty-two years. He has three children. He used to enjoy deer hunting and fishing. Now, he can be seen taking walks, organizing the magazines, watching TV and visiting with other residents. Leonard is 90 years young and there’s nobody that doesn’t like Leonard.
On Monday we got a much needed rain. We were thankful for that. On Tuesday our beautician returned (again) from a short vacation. That always puts smiles on people’s faces. Wednesday is our Trivia Day. That’s when we put our collective minds together and try to get the right answers.
We learned (or reminded) that the tallest skyscraper in the world is in Dubai. Also, the continent with the most countries is Aftrica. And lastly the Golden Gate Bridge is not gold but red according to one of our residents.
Everybody seems to have a good attitude despite the fact we have been on lock down for months.
The Baking Club made raisin and oatmeal cookies on Thursday, September 3rd.
The Baking Club came through on Friday. The dessert they made was yummy with our 3:00 Norwegian coffee.
We’ll end on that sweet note. Until next time.
