1. List your top three favorite high school classes. Why were they favorite classes?
My top three favorite high school classes were Civics, Sociology, and Contemporary American History. These were my favorite classes because they were fun, interesting, and helped me choose the career path I wanted to take. They were also my favorite because Mr. Engel taught them and I love his teaching style.
2. Describe the most memorable event that happened while you were in high school? Why was it memorable?
Besides being quarantined for three months, my most memorable event that happened in high school was probably beating Glenwood on Homecoming in volleyball junior and senior year. It is so memorable because it was a time when our whole school and team came together as one and we all celebrated together. I think it demonstrated what sports and working as a team is all about.

Sociology – Interesting concepts and Mr. Engel is great at giving engaging lessons.
English 12 – Mr. Pamperin allowed us to express ourselves in writing and prepared us for college English classes in many ways.

2. Describe the most memorable event that happened while you were in high school? Why was it memorable?
One of the most memorable events in high school was my trip with the Spanish Club to Puerto Rico. It was an experience I never forget. I got to try many new things-like double kayaking in a bioluminescent bay and eat lots of new food. It has definitely pushed me to want to study abroad in college to immerse myself in others’ cultures and get to see/experience new things.

1. List your top three favorite high school classes. Why were they favorite classes?
Anatomy and Physiology class was my hands down favorite class in high school. Not only was learning in depth of the human body fascinating, but our teacher, Mrs. Willi is one of the smartest teachers I know. She isn’t only a great teacher, but she truly cares about her students and she tries her best every day to be the best she can. She inspires me to become smarter and to achieve my goals. Sociology class was a class I was lucky to be a part of. Mr. Engel taught the class to never take anything for granted and to not be selfish in the real world. He changed my perspective on life and it has helped me become not only a better person for myself but for my community and the people that I see on a day-to-day basis. I got to take an accounting class with one of the most energetic teachers I have ever had. Her name is Mrs. Lane and I didn’t only learn about accounting, but she also helped me figure out my life after high school. She also knew just how to put a smile on my face on the days where I just wanted to crawl underneath a desk. I am forever grateful to have had her as a teacher. She made me see the bright side of things.
2. Describe the most memorable event that happened while you were in high school? Why was it memorable?
Mr. Moy will never hear the end of this one. The most memorable day in high school was my first day of senior year. Every year we have an assembly to greet the staff and students on their first day back. We typically set new guidelines for the school year and come together as a whole. I remember I was walking with my friends into the gym, purely excited to see everybody again. All of a sudden, we hear over the speakers, “Jump Around by KSI ft. Waka Flocka Flame”. Next thing we know, we see Mr. Moy jumping around to the beat of the music with the microphone in his hand trying to get the rest of the school to join. Honestly I think we were all in shock seeing our principal dancing to that song, so nobody really jumped around. Looking back at that day, I really wish we would have. In conclusion, that was the best first day of school I have ever had. Thank you Mr. Moy for being a phenomenal principal!

One of my favorite classes was Sociology. I enjoyed it because I learned a lot about what people think and why they do the things they do. Another was Contemporary American History. This class made me realize that history is actually interesting to learn about. Also, because Mr. Engel taught both of these classes and he is a great teacher who I learned really well from. 2. Describe the most memorable event that happened while you were in high school? Why was it memorable?
The most memorable experience I had in high school happened my junior year during volleyball. We were playing Glenwood at home and we were in the third game and had lost the first two. I remember there being a huge crowd as well as a loud student section. We ended up taking the last three games from them and won. It was incredible and felt so cool to be a part of that moment.
