Residents enjoyed movies from the library on Saturday afternoon.
Catholic communion was held on Sunday morning, and Grace Baptist Church was here for services on Sunday afternoon.
We started Monday off with exercises, and in the afternoon, the baking club made banana bread, which was our snack for Bingo on Wednesday. It turned out great! Bev Thompson’s recipe, of course.
Pastor Shannon and Irene were here on Tuesday morning from the Boyceville Methodist Church, and we had a nice group of people in attendance. In the afternoon, several ladies gathered for group crossword puzzle time. We did two crosswords, which I believe were a little too easy for this group, but they enjoyed it a lot. We ended the afternoon with cookies and coffee.
Threads of God’s Love came Tuesday evening for their knitting group. It sounds like they have picked up a couple of new members. Keep up the good work!
The ladies were all beautiful after having their hair done by Jennifer on Wednesday morning. There was also Bible study with Pastor Jonathan, and several members of Holy Cross. In the afternoon, St. John’s hosted Bingo. Thanks to JoAnne Berends and Jack Bennett for helping out.
The Little Acorns were under the weather on Thursday, so we worked on our Groundhog Shadows instead. They will be hanging on the upstairs lobby wall, so if anyone wants to join the contest of guessing who they are, feel free.
Friday was popcorn day, which is enjoyed by many residents and staff as well. Cara and the residents played a game of Yahtze in the afternoon, with Betty Steies being the big winner. Yahtze was followed by coffee social.
