Nov. 16-22
Rudy Rudesill started the week off with music on Saturday afternoon.
Catholic communion was held on Sunday morning, and movies were enjoyed in the afternoon.
Monday started off with a nice group to do exercises in the morning. This was followed by baking club in the afternoon, where we baked two loaves of banana bread, which we will freeze and keep for some of our Christmas festivities.
Pastor Dahm from Forest Immanuel Lutheran was here for services on Tuesday morning, and a lively game of dominoes was played in the afternoon. Bev Thompson was our big winner.
The beauty shop was busy again on Wednesday, making all the ladies look lovelier. Next week, due to Thanksgiving, Jen will be doing hair for Glenhaven, Havenwood and Grand Oaks all on Wednesday. She will be a busy lady!
On Wednesday afternoon, the American Legion Auxiliary hosted Bingo. Dar, Ione and Janice hosted. They gave out some patriotic as well as Christmas gifts, and treated the residents to pumpkin donut holes for coffee afterwards. A fun time was had by all.
The Little Acorns came up for their weekly visit with the residents on Thursday morning, and they played bean bags and talked with Shelly about Thanksgiving and what they were asking Santa for this Christmas. Shelly also did manicures in the afternoon.
Friday was popcorn day, and Shaker Box was played in the afternoon.
Visitors this week were: Doris Herdahl was visited by Doug & Linda Herdahl; Teresa Miller was visited by Tom & Mary Miller, and John & Jack Bazille; Paula Standaert was visited by Mary, Diane, Patti, Cindy, Christine & Mel; Idell Gast was visited by Ron Gast; Carolyn Tuttle was visited by Marlene Kerr; Margaret Standaert was visited by Marlene Kerr; Anna Sande was visited by Lynette Pank and Bria Pank; Willard Tronrud and Bev Thompson were visited by Shelby Bauer; and Lyle Hight, Jean Roemhild, Lana Strand, and Ken & Marlene Carlson visited with residents.
