Glenhaven News Nov. 9-15
Our week started out with music with John Lynch. Residents are liking his music a lot.
Sunday was Catholic Communion, and church with Christ the King.
We got everybody stretched out with exercises on Monday morning, and in the afternoon had a lively group participate in a crossword puzzle. We have some very sharp residents, so they seldom miss a clue.
Holy Cross had their busy week this week, as they were here for church on Tuesday, Bible Study on Wednesday morning, visited residents Wednesday afternoon, and hosted Bingo on Wednesday afternoon. We appreciate Pastor Jonathan and all his helpers-Marian, Becky, Peg, Dorothy, Sue, Geraldine and MaryAnn. You’re a great bunch!
Tuesday afternoon found the crafting group making some cute turkeys for Thanksgiving. After supper, many gathered in the downstairs and upstairs lobby to listen to C,T, the Heuts & Paula play for their last time this fall. They will return in March. Thanks to the band and all their loyal groupies for coming to take part in the fun. They sang “Happy Birthday” to all our November and December birthday people who were in attendance. You will be missed, but enjoy your snowbird days!
The Little Acorns and the residents tried out some of our new equipment purchases on Thursday morning, as they played balloon volley ball with balloons and swatters that look like fly swatters, except they have hands at the end. They had a blast!!! We also purchased a net, so it is more like the real thing. We appreciate our auxiliary for helping support the activity department, and all who support their efforts.
Popcorn was enjoyed on Friday morning, and cards were played in the afternoon.
