Glenhaven News
June 29-July 5
Catholic Communion was held on Sunday morning.
Monday we started our baking for the St. Croix County Fair. We are signed up for many items, both from our baking club and gardening. We will be taking the residents down to the fair on Friday, the 19th to see their ribbons and enjoy the fair. Anyone out there who would like to volunteer to help push someone around the fair, please give Glenhaven a call.
Tuesday we had some Independence Day trivia. The residents were pretty sharp on their history! We also included some trivia on Canada, as July 1st is Canada’s birthday. While most of us found these very difficult, Don and his daughter have some Canadian roots, and did a great job! After trivia we held our monthly Resident Council meeting.
Wednesday was hair beautification day, and in the afternoon we played Bingo with the assistance of Linda from the auxiliary and Hally, a Miss GC candidate. Thanks, ladies!
On the Fourth of July the residents enjoyed movies in the afternoon and root beer floats.
Friday was popcorn day, and outside time. It was a little warm, but a nice breeze. We enjoyed some more root beer floats, as we had ice cream and root beer left from Thursday.
