Rudy Rudesill was here on Saturday to entertain the residents.
Sunday was Catholic Communion and services with Christ the King. It was also Father’s Day. We wish all the fathers out there and here a belated “Happy Father’s Day.”
Monday started out with exercises in the morning, and in the afternoon we had garden club, which we spent out in the courtyard pulling weeds and deadheading the flowers. In the evening, “Threads of God’s Love” met in the lobby.
Pastor Dahm from Forest Immanual Church was here on Tuesday for church services. We played a lively game of shuffleboard in the afternoon, and our top three winners were Olga, Anna, and Bev. Good job, ladies!
Wednesday was hair day, so the ladies all looked beautiful after visiting Jen. In the afternoon, the activity department hosted Bingo, with the help of Bobbie Berends.
Thursday was a beautiful day, so in the morning the Little Acorns came up and played games outside with the residents, and in the afternoon, residents and Laurie spent time outside visiting and eating ice cream.
Friday was popcorn day, and we celebrated our western themed Father’s Day celebration with lunch and a blacksmithing demonstration given by Don Hogenson. The men enjoyed it immensely! We also had a couple of young men, Jackson and Johnny Logghe, who were here visiting their Grampa, who got to try their skills at blacksmithing. A good time was had by all! Thanks to Don for being gracious enough to come and demonstrate for us. We learned a lot.
