Rudy Rudesill was here to entertain everyone on Saturday.
Sunday was Catholic communion in the morning, and Christ the King Church was here for services in the afternoon.
The baking club made a dessert for the residents at Monday’s meeting. We made rhubarb torte, which was a big hit. (For those who like rhubarb, of course.) On Monday evening, the “Thread’s of God’s Love” knitting group met in the Glenhaven lobby.
Pastor Dahm from Forest Immanuel was here for services on Tuesday morning. We all wish his wife a speedy recovery. The afternoon was spent working on our fair entries, which are due by May 31st. We have quite a list of things to take.
The American Legion Auxiliary hosted Bingo on Wednesday afternoon, and had some very nice Memorial Day prizes to give out. Residents thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to Darlene, Junalee, Ione, Dale, and Sue for being such great hosts.
The Little Acorns came up on Thursday morning and played basketball with the residents, as well as singing some songs with Laurie. The shuffleboard game that was rescheduled for Thursday was played in the afternoon. The big winner was Julie with 870, followed by Chuck with 760, and Maxine with 570. Good job, gang!
Friday was popcorn day, which was enjoyed by many residents and visitors.
Visitors this week were: Paula Standaert was visited by Christine & Mel, Mary Stasiluek, Patti Kahler, Diane Paulson, and Cindy Peterson; Doris Herdahl was visited by Margie Wiseman; Teresa Miller was visited by Tom & Mary Miller; Chuck DeSmith was visited by Joan DeSmith; Ardys Mounce was visited by Dave Schroeder and Susan Nelson; Orville Wittmer was visited by Gwen & Rob; Bev Thompson was visited by Shelby Bauer; Art Burmester was visited by Rev. Greg Becker from Grace Lutheran; and Bob Ludtke visited with many of the residents.
