GLENWOOD CITY — A group of ambitious eighth-grade girls at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City are organizing a local Farmers’ Market which is set to open the first Saturday in June.
The group, with assistance from their parents and mentors, are doing this service project as part of their confirmation class.
In a flyer distributed and displayed around the area, the Farmers’ Market is billed as offering fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, eggs, honey, meat, syrup, jams and perserves and several other items.
The event will take place every Saturday starting June 8 and run through October. It will be held from 8:00 a.m. to noon in the church parking lot located at 615 Maple Street in Glenwood City.
The Farmers’ Market is open to everyone.
