Boyceville High School sent three students to the FCCLA State Leadership Conference which was held at the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells, April 8-10th. These three students also competed in the state level of STAR Events while at the conference. STAR Events stands for Students Taking Action with Recognition. These students competed at the regional level, in February, and received scores which qualified them to compete at the state level.
Below you will find a breakdown of the students who competed at the State Leadership Conference, the event they competed in, and their results:
LaRissa Krueger received gold in the Culinary Creations category. LaRissa decorated a cake with the theme of family reunion.
Maggie Wyss received gold for the cranberry tart she made in the Pastries and Baked Goods category.
Ade Harpil not only received a gold in the Basic Food Production, Terminology and Mathematics category, but she also earned the highest score in the state of Wisconsin for this event!
Also, while at the conference they not only got to attend a Chris Kroeze concert, but they also got to meet him! Chris Kroeze was the runner up from the last season of The Voice.
