Jim Ehlers started off our weekend with music on Saturday, and Catholic communion was held on Sunday morning.
The exercise class was well attended on Monday morning, and the baking club was busy making homemade pretzels in afternoon. This was our first attempt at pretzels, and they turned out great!
Pastor Jonathan, assisted by Becky Hahn and Carol Kelm, were here for services on Tuesday morning, and Holy Cross also hosted Bingo this week on Wednesday. Thanks to the Bingo ladies-Velma, Peg, Linda H., Mary Ann, Linda K.
We held our first gardening meeting this week, and residents made a list of what they would like to plant in our vegetable garden as well as picking out some flower varieties they would like to try for our raised beds. There are always lots of new varieties to marvel over in the seed catalogs.
C,T & the Heuts filled up the lobby on Tuesday night with their great music. Paula Standaert also joined them once again on the piano. It’s great to see her playing. There was a lot of toe tappin’ and hand clappin’ going on!
The lovely spring weather put a glitch in our schedule for Thursday and Friday. The Little Acorns came up and played basketball with the residents with our exercise balls. They are soft, so work much better for that particular activity!
Popcorn was enjoyed by many on Friday, and Father John, as well as some visitors, were here for Catholic Mass. Bible study was cancelled in the afternoon, so a lively game of Uno was played instead. Our big winner was Helen.
