Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Boy, we are sure making up for lost time with the cold and the snow. Hope everyone is walking carefully and bundling up good when you go out. If nothing else, it sure looks pretty!
Residents enjoyed snacks and root beer on Super Bowl Sunday while the game was on.
Monday we had our “Shadow Guessing” contest for Ground Hog’s Day. The winners were the team of Linsey & Mikaela who tied with Heather for the most correct for staff, and our winner for the residents was Julie Brunkhorst. Way to go, girls, and thanks for all who participated. According to Puxsatawney Phil, it’s supposed to be an early spring, but I’m not holding my breath on that one.
Pastor Brad and Ginny were here for services on Tuesday morning and in the afternoon residents worked on some Valentine wreaths.
The beauty shop was in full swing on Wednesday. Jennifer is planning on coming two days a week from now on. Bingo was played in the afternoon with the activity department, with the help of Melissa.
The Little Acorns visited us on Thursday morning, and had a great time with the parachute and some balloons. They always brighten the residents’ days.
Friday was Catholic Mass with Father John.
Our sympathies go out to the family of Loraine Blodgett.
