January 26-February 1
Residents enjoyed the music of John Lynch on Saturday afternoon, and Grace Baptist Church was here for services on Sunday.
The baking club tried a new recipe this week, as someone forgot to bring the chocolate she bought to work. Wonder who that may be. Anyway, we punted and tried a new bar recipe, and it met with everyone’s approval, so guess it wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
The brutal cold caused some cancellations this week, which was to be expected. We don’t blame anyone for wanting to stay home and keep warm. Can’t believe it’s supposed to be 40 degrees on Sunday!
St. John’s hosted Bingo on Wednesday. Thanks to Tammy Ormson for coming on such a cold day, and for Karetta Horky for helping out also. For social we enjoyed the bars which baking club made on Monday.
Friday was popcorn day, and several residents agreed to be models for our Ground Hog’s Day Shadow contest which will be on Monday. They did an excellent job of sitting still while their profiles were drawn.
