Our week started with music by Jim Ehlers on Saturday afternoon and Catholic Communion on Sunday morning.
Monday was spent taking down Christmas decorations, with help from Ione DeSmith.
We celebrated Elvis’ birthday on Tuesday with some of his gospel music before Pastor Brad’s church service, and continued the Elvis music at lunch and in the afternoon. We also played Elvis trivia in the afternoon, which proved to be a lot of fun, and we learned some very interesting facts. We had a couple of residents that were quite knowledgeable about “The King of Rock and Roll”. Roger Stansbury mentioned that he and Elvis were the same age. Life-size Elvis also visited the households throughout the day, which made for some lively conversation.
Holy Cross hosted Bingo on Wednesday with the help of Peg Hoitomt, Becky Hahn, Betsy Glenn and Linda Krizan.
Volunteer Fireman’s Day was the 10th, so we made cards to send out to our local firefighters, in appreciation for all you do!
