The veterans of Russell Toycen American Legion Post 131 of Colfax held a military funeral for Brian D. Aasen December 20, 2018, at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek.
Those serving on the firing squad were Kathy Walters, Don Braaten, Gus Fehr, Jon Scott, “Happy” Silva, Dick Larson, Gary Smith and Jason Topper.
Legionnaires in the Color Guard were Cole Truslow and Mark Zillmer.
The flags were presented to Dawn (wife) and Lois (mother) by Post Commander Chris Larson.
