The St. Croix County 4-H Ambassadors recently attended the Wisconsin 4-H Fall Forum Leadership Conference in Green Lake. As part of their participation in this conference the ambassadors lead a community service project where they taught state attendees how to sew a simple fleece scarf. In all the ambassadors and attendees created 45 scarves to be donated to St. Croix County agencies for those in need this winter. Several of the scarves were donated to Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley, Grace Place – New Richmond, and Phillips Plastics Mitten Tree.
The Ambassadors is a group of young adults in grade 7 and up that help promote 4-H through a variety of fun activities and leadership opportunities. If you are interested in joining a 4-H club or would like more information on how to become a volunteer please contact the St. Croix County UW-Extension, 4-H Youth Development Office at 715-531-1930 or email Heather Vierling at Heather.Vierling@sccwi.gov.
