Glenhaven Auxiliary shares yearly accomplishments

The Glenhaven Auxiliary met on  Wednesday, October 10.  As part of the treasurer’s report, members were informed of this year’s donations.  The Auxiliary has donated $2000 to Little Acorns Day Care, $3000 for the purchase of a new handicap van for the residents,  $319 for transport chairs, and $300 a month for upkeep of the aviary and Glenhaven Campus activities.

The first half of the meeting was spent discussing all of our fall activities, and getting suggestions.  Motions to make changes in any of the activities will be done at the meeting in February.    The group is donating 2 baskets and an item from the Studio for Oktoberfest on the 18th.  Decorating for Christmas will begin on Wednesday November 28.  Members will be helping with this activity, and in addition voted to donate $100 for Wreaths for the Campus.  Anyone interested in helping decorate is welcome to come anytime on the 28th.

All members will have a busy week the last week in October.  Wednesday and Thursday they will be making turnovers for the November 2 Bake Sale.  Thursday will also be spent making Lefsa for the Bake Sale.  Anyone who is interested may help.  Work will be done in the mornings starting at 9:00 AM in Havenwood.
