Wrestling season kicks off this weekend

The winter sports season is officially in full swing as basketball games are being played and the wrestlers have started practice.

Both the Glenwood City and Boyceville wrestling teams will have their opening matches this coming Saturday, December 1.

The Hilltoppers will host their annual John Timm Tournament Saturday in the high school gymnasium starting at 10:00 a.m.

The Bulldogs will be traveling to Ellsworth on Saturday for their first individual tournament of the season which starts at 10:00 a.m.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday and the extended football season for the Hilltoppers, both teams have just begun practice and previews have been postponed.

Both teams look to have plenty of experience for the 2012-2013 season as each have only lost two seniors to graduation.

The Hilltoppers will host their first conference dual on Tuesday, December 4 against Cadott with the varsity starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs will also open their conference season against Cadott on Thursday, December 13 starting at 7:00 p.m.
