BLOOMER — In their first dual match of the season, the Colfax volleyball team traveled to Bloomer Sept. 1 and struggled with a lack of consistency on the court, dropping a four set match to the Blackhawks 21-25, 25-17, 15-25 and 19-25.

ELLSWORTH — Just by looking at the wall of purple adorning the sidelines on the opposite side of the field, the term undermanned came to mind as the Colfax football team, with 25 players suited up to face the 52-man squad of the Ellsworth Panthers in the game played August 28 in Ellsworth.

AMERY -— The Colfax girls’ golf team played a match in Amery August 25 and finished with a team score of 468.

COLFAX — With six of the ten boys on the cross country team seniors and two of the six girls also seniors, the Colfax cross country teams certainly have plenty of experience as they head into the 2015 season.

BOYCEVILLE — Getting the cross country season started is always a good thing according to Colfax coach Joe Doucette, and when the Viking girls won the 10 team Boyceville Alumni meet while the boys were second of 12 teams, it made things even better.

STRUM — Playing its opening game on the road against the Eleva-Strum Cardinals August 21, the Colfax football team fell behind early and didn’t have the manpower to come back from the deficit and lost 46-8.
