BALSAM LAKE —  A Glenwood City couple was arrested in Turtle Lake earlier this month on charges related to manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine.

Donald J. Frazier, 48, made an initial appearance in Polk County Circuit Court April 11 on two felony counts of manufacturing or delivering methamphetamine.

According to news reports, Frazier and his girlfriend, Melissa Remington, 35, were arrested April 8 at the Turtle Lake Casino.

Frazier allegedly sold methamphetamine to confidential informants in March.

During an April 13 court hearing, Frazier waived his right to a preliminary hearing, and Judge Molly GaleWyrick accepted the waiver and Frazier’s plea of not guilty and bound him over for trial.

Bail was initially set in Polk County Circuit Court for Frazier at $5,000 cash by Judge Bruce Anderson on April 11.

Judge GaleWyrick modified the bail to $2,500 cash April 15 and added a condition of no contact with Melissa Remington.

According to online court records, Frazier posted the $2,500 cash bail April 18.

Remington is scheduled for an initial appearance in Polk County Circuit Court May 9 on one felony count of possessing methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia.

The Polk County district attorney’s office filed a complaint related to the Remington case April 13.

Frazier and Remington are listed in court records as having a Syme Avenue address in Glenwood City.
