BOYCEVILLE — The Glenwood City boys’ team placed first out of nine teams with 116 points in last Thursday’s track and field invitational in Boyceville.
Both the Boyceville boys (83) and the Glenwood City girls (78) teams placed fifth while the Boyceville girls (72.5) took sixth. Durand won the girls’ competition with 127 points.
For a bit of fun the teams were asked to run a 400 meter relay by passing something other than a baton between runners. Any amount of runners could participate and the event was co-ed and not scored. The Glenwood City team passed a pole vault pole with a pink flamingo attached to it. The Bulldog team passed team member Jon Frett. The relay provided a lot of entertainment.
