Amalia (Mali) Draxler
Hi! My name is Amalia Draxler and I am sponsored by Logghe Trucking. My family includes my parents, Mike and Rebecca Draxler, and my siblings, Jonas, Abe, and Taya. I am thrilled to run for Miss Glenwood City this year, as I have dreamed of this opportunity since I was in elementary school! I used to admire the older girls and their crowns every year at the parade. They made such a lasting impression on me that my best friend Aubree and I came up with plans to run together. Now as a candidate, I hope to pass this same experience to our youth and encourage them to be involved in the community as they get older. Community involvement is something I am very passionate about. I love our city and would be honored to represent, serve, and connect with the people. I believe this would suit me well considering my participation and leadership roles in school and other clubs. This includes volleyball, basketball, band, NHS, my class presidency, 4H, and FFA. Outside of clubs, I also participate in church, mission trips, babysitting, and working on my farm. I believe I have become more well-rounded and knowledgeable with each one of these experiences and am hoping to continue this cycle with my royalty campaign.

Aubree Logghe
I am Aubree Logghe and my sponsor is Lofty Acres Dairy. My parents are Angie and Jordan Logghe. I have five siblings Jackson (14), Austin (11), Johnny (10), Kiley (10) and Lexi (1). I am involved in many things. I take part in various clubs at school such as FFA, Yearbook, Art Club and National Honors Society. I am also Vice president of SkillsUSA. Out of school, I am a member in 4-H too. After school I play sports such as volleyball, basketball and softball. I work at the large Kwik Trip in Baldwin. It has kept me super busy all summer, but I love my coworkers so that makes our job fun. I volunteer doing many things during the summer. In addition to clubs, sports and work, I went on a mission trip with my church, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and I volunteered doing many things such as VBS, working the fair stand and fundraisers for my church. I also helped with Farm City Days, National Night Out and the fair stand for Glenwood City Royalty. Besides that, I helped coach little girls at sports camps for our school. I have wanted to run for Mrs Glenwood City since I was a little girl. My mom was queen of her hometown and had kept a box from when she ran. She let me try on her crown and told me stories of how much fun she had. In sixth grade; however, Mali and I were working on a project for Mr. Lambs music class and got the brilliant idea that her dad would sponsor me and my dad would sponsor her. Both our dads and us kept up our deal. Now we are here, extremely happy to be running with each other and no it will not hurt our friendship. I can’t wait for all the parades and outings I will get to make memories with her. So that we can share them with our daughters to keep the royalty program running.
