Glenhaven News
April 11-17
Well, in spite of all that is going on, a lot of the residents did get a chance to see Easter Sunday services on their TVs on Sunday, and for those that didn’t, we hooked many of them up to You Tube on Tuesday to watch.
Easter dinner was great from all reports. Hopefully all of you somehow got to celebrate the occasion. We are still finding a few Easter eggs hiding around the facility.
Several of the ladies got their hair set and styled on Wednesday and Thursday morning, and we played doorway Bingo on Wednesday afternoon. We also enjoyed cookies and coffee afterward-just trying to get things a little bit back to normal. Abby from the daycare was here helping with Bingo and doing manicures. Thanks, Abby.
Maxine Timm celebrated her 90th birthday this week. Her family brought a birthday cake in on Wednesday afternoon. Residents enjoyed the cake for supper dessert. It looked delicious! Happy Birthday, Max! And thanks for the treat!
Care conferences were held on Thursday, via telephone with families. We’re doing our best to keep the lines of communication open by whatever means possible.
Friday was popcorn day, which is always a treat for residents and staff. We also served cookies and coffee in the afternoon.
The news yesterday was that the Governor extended the “safe at home” policy to May 26th. Looks like we will just have to hang in there like everyone else.
