During the fire at 1661 290th Street firefighters drew water from a fire hydrant on First Street and when shutting off a value to quickly, broke an eight inch water main as shown in the accompanying photo. The flowing water, drew down the water tower and forced the fire department tankers to travel to Woodville and Boyceville for water to fight the fire.
