DR. KATIE BAIER
COLFAX — Dr. Katie Baier, a native of Elk Mound and a Mounder graduate, has joined Clear Connection Chiropractic. Dr. Baier, who specializes in sport injury and rehabilitation, will be treating patients at the Colfax office located at 600 Main Street. With the addition of Dr. Baier, the Colfax location will offer expanded hours Monday through Friday and every other Saturday.
Dr. Baier graduated from UW-Green Bay with a Bachelors of Human Biology Exercise Science.
“Since I was a sophomore in high school, I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor so, after Green Bay, I went to Palmer College of Chiropractic,” said Baier.
While attending Palmer, Baier served as a rehabilitation intern. She graduated from Palmer in February of this year. Shortly after, Baier accepted an offer to join Clear Connection Chiropractic.
Along with chiropractic, Baier stated that she has always been interested in sports and athletics. In high school, Dr. Katie was a three-sport athlete, and while at Palmer she competed on the Palmer Rugby Team that went to Nationals.
“This helped drive my passion for assisting athletes. Being able to work with all levels of athletes from high school to semi-pro has allowed me to follow that passion and lets me share that knowledge with athletes in the area.” Dr. Baier stated.
Dr. Baier is certified in DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) Exercise 1 along with taking Mally Lower Extremities. She is also well versed in cupping, pin and stretch, E-stim, SFMA, and scraping techniques and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP).
“I am excited to continue to gain more knowledge of chiropractic and rehabilitation,” added Dr. Baier.
Outside the office, Dr. Baier can found in the gym, hiking in the woods, birdwatching, or at lunch with her sisters and brother. And when she is not outdoors or at a gym somewhere, she is probably curled up in a chair reading a good book.
Dr. Baier also serves as an assistant coach with the Elk Mound girls’ basketball team.
“I’m glad to be back home and look forward to helping those in the area!” concluded Dr. Baier.
