MENOMONIE — The Colfax track and field teams got the 2025 season underway last week when they competed in the Blue Devils Indoor Invitational held Tuesday, March 25 at UW-Stout’s Johnson Field House.
The Viking boys scored five points to tie Mondovi for 21st place while the girls finished in a tie with Tomah for 22nd after scoring a pair of points. More than two dozens schools took part in the annual indoor meet.
Senior Theo Hovde scored a sixth-place finish in the 400 meters dash (:56.43) to earn three of the Viking boys’ team points. The team’s other two points came in the 4×400 meter relay where the foursome of Charlie Charbonneau, Grant Palewicz, Logan Swartz and Hovde ran a 3:50.38 to place seventh.
Colfax senior Hannah Peterson was responsible for both of the girls’ points as she sprinted to a seventh-place showing in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:08.00.
