MENOMONIE — The Dunn County Board has approved a budget of $111,160,038 for 2025 along with a property tax levy of $24,784,400.
The Dunn County Board unanimously approved both resolutions at the November 12 meeting with no discussion.
The approved budget for 2025 represents an increase of $11,706,683 over the 2024 budget of $99,453,355.
The property tax levy that was approved represents a decrease of $776,916 over the property tax levy for 2024 of $25,561,316.
The property tax levy for 2025 includes $9,740,348 for the general fund; $4,592,698 for the special revenue fund; $5,170,634 for the debt service fund; $4,355,046 for the highway fund; $126,547 for bridge aids/bridge petitions; and $799,100 for library purpose taxes.
Budget
Here are some of the amounts budgeted for 2025:
• Administration — $7.6 million.
• Courts — $1.91 million.
• Corporation counsel — $676,318.
• District Attorney — $785,163.
• Emergency Communications — $1.58 million.
• Environmental Services — $2.5 million.
• Medical Examiner — $852,586.
• Public Health — $1.59 million
• Facilities operations — $13.06 million.
• Parks operations — $72,090.
• Sheriff — $8.64 million.
• UW-Extension — $308,884.
• Debt service — $5.17 million.
• Human Services — $16.99 million.
• The Neighbors of Dunn County — $18.14 million.
• Transit Commission — $603,348.
• Self-funded health insurance — $9.25 million.
• Self-funded worker’s compensation — $787,986.
