COLFAX — After the conclusion of the 2024 cross country season, several runners received awards from head coach Joe Doucette along with his coaching staff Chuck Brown and Courtney Sarauer.
For the boys, junior Charlie Charbonneau was named Most Valuable while earning Dunn-St. Croix all conference for the second time. Most Improved went to Isaiah Entzminger, a talented freshman who is one of the Vikings fastest freshmen ever, earning first team AC and has a great future since he is very talented and a super hard worker, according to Doucette.
For the girls, senior Kaysen Goodell was named the MVP. Goodell is a four-time all conference runner (first team three times and conference champion this year), and a four-time WIAA state competitor (twice as an individual and with the team).
Co-seniors Hannah Peterson and Lauren Becker were named Most Improved. Peterson was a two time first-team all conference runner and one of the school’s best athletes and is very good in a lot of things, according to Doucette. Becker is a four year letter winner, and like Peterson, an awesome person and teammate who showed up every day with a great outlook and also ran twice at the state meet as part of the Colfax team.
