Aggies celebrate 105th reunion

The l05th reunion of the Dunn County Aggie School was held at the Moose Lodge in Menomonie on September 21, 2024 at noon with 40 members present. Marvin Olson was secretary-treasurer for many years and he passed away last year. His daughter, Deb Milberger, has agreed to take on the job and she did a wonderful job this year, many thanks Deb. President Don Olson, called the meeting to order and asked vice president Lois Sipple to read the list af attendees, the names of the school members that died, and the financial statement.

The class of 1954 was honored. Members of the class that were present were Jeanne Alf Holden-Leff, David Fregine, and Don Holzhueter. The oldest class member was from the class of 1943, Rose Lutzen Frenchick and next oldest was Don Sipple from the class of 1946.

President Olson asked if they wanted to have a reunion next year and it was unanimous that we do and that it be held the third Saturday of September in 2025 at the Moose Lodge. A delicious meal was served by the Moose Ladies that consisted of mashed potatoes, gravy, meatballs, corn, jello salad, rolls, brownie and ice cream.

Anyone that attended Aggie is welcome to come to the reunion. You don’t have to graduate from there. The school closed in 1957 and we are happy to have so many return to the gathering. If you would like to attend, call Don Olson or Lois Sipple.
