Three golfers from this year’s Colfax-Elk Mound boys’ golf team have been honored with selection to the 2024 Academic All-State team.
Seniors Zane Brice and Christian Ebert and sophomore Lucas Svee have each been recognized as academic all-state honorees by the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin (GCAW).
Students are submitted by member coaches of the GCAW and must meet the following criteria to be considered for this great award:
•The student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
•The student-athlete must have participated in at least 75 percent of their team’s varsity competitions during the 2024 season
•The student-athlete must be in good standing regarding athletic and school codes of conduct at their participating schools
•The student-athlete must be either a sophomore, junior, or senior
The GCAW is proud to announce that 421 students from 137 different high schools have been honored this year. The average GPA of these students is an exceptional 3.723.
The GCAW was formed by high school golf coaches in 1986 to help build and enhance Wisconsin’s reputation for developing quality junior players by promoting golf in our schools and communities.
Congratulations to Zane, Christian and Lucas!
