ELK MOUND — The Elk Mound Board of Education elected Tim Sivertson as president and Troy Koser as vice-president at the reorganizational meeting April 22.
Koser replaces Mark Oas as vice-president.
Oas decided not to run for re-election in April.
Sivertson has served as president of the Elk Mound Board of Education for a number of years.
In addition, the school board re-elected Holly Sweeney as district clerk and Gary Bodenburg as treasurer.
The Board of Education again appointed Eric Wright, district administrator, as deputy clerk of the Board of Education.
The school board confirmed the compensation committee with Sivertson, Koser and Sweeney as members and Bodenburg as the alternate.
The policy committee was confirmed and includes Bodenberg, Lombard and Sweeney.
The Board of Education confirmed the long-range and short-range planning committee to include Koser, Darin Dummer and Jen Plemon, who was newly elected to the Board of Education April 2.
Sivertson is the alternate on the long-range and short-range planning committee.
The Board of Education screening committee for the student representative includes Koser, Dummer and Bodenburg.
The Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) representative will be Koser.
The Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) convention delegate will Bodenburg, with Kayla Lombard and Sivertson as alternates.
The Elk Mound Board of Education also re-adopted the Neola policy book and policy clarifications.
Beginning with the July meeting, the school board has approved a 6:30 p.m. start time.
Regarding the secretary for the Board of Education, Mary Strand was re-hired to continue in the position.
Strand has been the recording secretary for the school board for 41 years.
