Colfax school board elects Kragness as president, Neuburg as vice-president

COLFAX — The Colfax Board of Education conducted a perfectly routine organizational meeting at the April 22 meeting.
Andrew De Moe, school board clerk, administered the oath of office to incumbents Kyle Knutson and Ken Neuburg, who were the only two candidates on the ballot April 2 for two positions on the Colfax Board of Education.
Neuburg, who presided over the meeting in the absence of Todd Kragness, school board president,, conducted the election for president of the school board.
Incumbent school board president Todd Kragness was the only nominee and was elected unanimously by the Board of Education to continue as president.
Incumbent vice-president of the school board Ken Neuburg was the only nominee and was elected unanimously by the Board of Education to continue as vice-president.
Incumbent school board clerk Andrew De Moe was the only nominee and was elected unanimously by the Board of Education to continue as clerk.
Incumbent school board treasurer Kyle Knutson was the only nominee and was elected by the Board of Education to continue as treasurer.
The Colfax school board also unanimously confirmed the Colfax Messenger as the school district’s official newspaper.
The school board designated the third Monday of each month as the regular meeting day for the Board of Education.
There are several exceptions to the meeting date of the third Monday, such as in the month of April and the month of October.
Wipfli LLP was confirmed again as the school district’s auditor.
Weld-Riley was confirmed once again as the school district’s legal firm.
Jaclyn Ackerlund was elected again as the school board’s CESA 11 representative.
Ken Neuburg also was elected again as the school board’s representative for delegate assembly at the Wisconsin Association of School Board’s annual convention in January.
