ELK MOUND — Last Thursday, the Mounders hosted a track and field invite with Colfax, Durand, Boyceville, Mondovi, Bloomer and Prescott teams attending. The Mounder boys’ team took second place with a score of 140.5 points and the girls placed third with 115. The Colfax boys team scored 35 points which put them in seventh place while the girls earned sixth place with 58 points.
Elk Mound Boyss
The Elk Mound boys team scored the most points in the 100m dash and the 110m hurdles racking up 21 points in each event. In the 110m hurdles, the team took first, third and fourth with times of 16.90, 17.81 and 18.32 from senior, Grandt Mueller, sophomore, Rownan Soul-Stewart and junior, Brooks Burcaw.
In the 100m dash the team secured first, second and sixth places with junior, Keinin Miller, and seniors Carson Streifel and Tyler Gagner filling those slots. All three of them ran the race in under 12 seconds. Keinin Miller and Carson Streifel also scored some points in the 200m dash placing second and third in the race with times of 22.90 and 23.92.
The team also took first in the 4X100 relay with a time of 44.63. Members of the team were Tyler Gagner, Jay Meyer, Keinin Miller and Carson Streifel. Another first place finisher was junior Landon Kasakaitas in shot put with a throw of 46’ 4”. In other throwing news, the boys team took fourth and sixth in discus with sophomore Rownan Soul-Stewart throwing 109’ 5” and Landon Kasakaitas throwing 106’ 1”.
The team scored many points in the jumping events. In the triple jump Rownan Soul-Stewart placed second with a leap of 35’2.5”. And junior, Londyn Jenson placed seventh with a jump of 29’ 3.5”. In high jump, senior Caleb Beskow placed second with a jump of five feet six inches and sophomore, Dalton Banaszak jumped five feet two inches which was good for fifth. In the pole vault, Brooks Burcaw placed second with a jump of eight feet six inches.

More points were scored when junior, Brooks Burcaw placed fourth in the 300M hurdles with a time of 47.64. Also placing fourth was the 4X400 relay team with members Caleb Beskow, Tyler Gagner, Riley Krall and Brooks Burcaw with a time of 3:53.
The 4X200 relay team consisted of Dalton Banaszak, Graycen Banaszak, Hudson Banaszak and Jacob Carstens and placed fifth with a time of 1.52.16. Also placing fifth was sophomore, Teegan Wright in the 400 m with a time of 56.38 and Jesse Moyer in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11.30.70.
In the 800m they took seventh and eighth with times of 2.28.12 and 2.29.16 from sophomores Teegan Wright and Dalton Banaszak respectively while freshman, Hudson Banaszak ran the mile in 5.20.56 and placed eighth.
Elk Mound Girls
The girls scored nearly half their points in three events. In the 200m dash, senior Lydia Levra took first with a time of 27.88; sophomore, Allie Robel took third in 28.65 seconds and sophomore, Taylor Frinack came in fifth with a time of 29.17. In the 300m hurdles, sophomore, Allie Robel placed first in 51.28 seconds, senior, Carly Mohr earned third place with a time of 55.59 and freshman, Abby Wolf placed sixth in 1:00.92.

Another first place finisher was senior, Lydia Levra in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.09. Freshman, Lauren Gabert also placed first in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet nine inches. Senior, Lydia Levra placed third in long jump at 15 feet seven inches.
And in the 100 meter dash sophomore, Taylor Frinack, junior, Savannah Nechanicky and freshman, Lauren Gabert placed second, fourth and fifth respectively. All three ran the race in under 14 seconds.
They also scored a fair amount of points in the 100 meter hurdles, taking fourth, fifth and seventh in the event. Senior, Carly Mohr had a time of 18.27, sophomore, Allie Robel ran it in 18.49 and freshman, Abby Wolf had a time of 19.95.
The 4X200 relay team had a time of 2:04.78 which was good for third place. The team members were: Lauren Gabert, Savannah Nechanicky, Katie Rosenthal and Maddie Gehweiler. Also coming in third was senior, Carly Mohr in the high jump with a jump of 4’ 4”.
Sophomore, Taylor Frinack, pole vaulted to fourth place with a jump of 6 feet 6 inches while Anne Baier, Isablle Baier, Yolo Delgado and Addison Young placed fifth in the 4X800 relay clocking in at 14.30.37. And junior, Claire Steinhorst placed eighth in triple jump at 26 feet 2.25 inches.
Colfax Boys
Juniors, Theo Hovdeand and Logan Swartz placed fourth and sixth in the 400 meter dash with times of 54.57 and 57.58. Theo Hovde also placed second in the long jump at 18 feet 11 inches and fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.26. While Logan Swartz placed eighth in the event coming in at 25.04.
Sophomore, Charlie Charbonnaeu placed fourth in the half mile with a time of 2.18.44. He also placed sixth in the mile run with a time of 5:16.32.
The team’s 4X400 relay team scored some points with a sixth place finish with a time of 3:55.77. Members of the team were; Logan Swartz, Eli Ralph, Charlie Charbonnaeu and Theo Hovde. And freshman James Wahl scored a point in shot put with a toss of 35 feet five inches.

Colfax Girls
The girls made a fine showing in the throwing events with senior, Jeanette Hydukovich throwing 38 feet one inch which was good for first place. The throw also broke the CHS record in shot put. Fellow senior, Kennedy Shane placed seventh in the event with a throw of 30 feet three inches.
In the discus, Jeanette Hydukovich also placed first with a fling of 126 feet nine inches. While sophomore, Clara Hydukovich placed fourth with a throw of 99 feet 6 inches.
The 4X400 relay team placed second with a time of 4:35.29. Members of the team were; Jada Anderson, Kaysen Goodell, Hannah Peterson and Lauren Becker.
In the long jump senior, Jada Anderson took sixth place with a leap of 15 feet two inches.
In the half mile run, juniors Kaysen Goodell placed third and Hannah Peterson placed fifth with times of 2:36.09 and 2:43.71 respectively. Kaysen Goodell also placed third in the mile coming in at 5:49.19.
In the 400 meter dash, junior, Hannah Peterson ran the race in 1:06.24 which earned her fifth place in the event.
