Special Events:

March 7 – Dr. Seuss Birthday Party – Mark your calendars, folks! March 7th from 4-6 p.m. is the Dr. Seuss party you don’t want to miss! The GCPL is throwing a bash like no other, with door prizes, craft tables, tasty treats, and games galore! Oh, and don’t forget to dress up as your favorite Dr. Seuss character – it’s the perfect time to show off your wackiest and most whimsical outfits!

This event is free and is open to everyone.

March 21 – Book Tasting – Glenwood City Public Library would like you to join us for an evening of delightful literary selections, delectable hors d’oeres, refreshing drinks, trivia, and mingling. Please reserve your seat by March 15 by calling us, messaging us, register online, or email us.

This event is available to all Adult attendees, free of charge.

Monday Craft Night – Monday’s from 4:00-6:00. Our Monday Craft Night is open to all ages. If you are unable to attend and would like to try these projects at home please call and we will be happy to give you the recipe/instructions. These are free events, pictures might be taken during the craft for our Facebook Page, and children under 8 should be accompanied by an adult.

March 4 – Butterfly Feeder – We will be making a butterfly feeder out of a toilet paper roll, bottle caps, pompoms, and a straw.  You will go home with instructions on how to make the food for the butterflies.

March 18 – Seed Bombs! – Join the garden gang for a wild ride making seed bombs! All you need is paper, water, and a sprinkle of wildflower magic. Let’s get planting.

Adult/Teen Craft – These are crafts that will be happening on Thursday and are geared towards Teens through Adults.  Also, for these crafts you will need to sign up for space is limited. Please call (715-265-7443), email (, sign up online with our website (, or Facebook message to reserve your spot. This event is Free, and pictures might be taken during the craft for our Facebook Page.

March 14: Teacup Bird Feeder – 6:00 p.m. – Join us for a whimsical Teacup Bird Feeder craft.  Just bring along 1-2 teacups and saucers, and we’ll handle the rest of the magic. Don’t forget to secure your spot by registering online, giving us a ring, or shooting us a message.

Peter Rabbit’s Storytime – Every Friday – 10:00-11:00

Afternoon Book Club – Meets on the First Monday’s of the Month at 12:30 in the library. Call today and reserve your copy.

St. Croix Traveling Book Club – Join friends from around St. Croix County! Each month a different library is hosting a book discussion at one of their local restaurants. Dinner is at 6:00 and book discussion starts at 6:30.
