Colfax Public Library has free Covid-19 test kits available

COLFAX — With the recent uptick in Covid-19 cases, the Colfax Public Library’s acquisition of Covid-19 test kits could be beneficial to residents in the Colfax area.

Lisa Bragg-Hurlburt, director of the Colfax Public Library, posted to the library’s Facebook page on February 14, “Don’t be shy about taking a few free Covid tests from the municipal building hallway (by the library door). We were recently given LOTS to distribute to the public!”

The Colfax Public Library has about a hundred Covid test kits available, Bragg-Hurlburt estimated.

“In the past I have gotten free Covid tests from Dunn County, but these were extra given away by other libraries in our system who had too many. Many of them expire in April so we wanted to get them out to the people (although sometimes they extend those shelf life dates so they may be good for longer). I got two big boxes of them,” she said.
