COLFAX — The Colfax Woman’s Club visited Colfax Elementary May 22 to present awards to the winners of the Colfax Woman’s Club art contest winners for the 2022-2023 school year.
The theme for this year’s contest was “Everybody Loves a Rainbow.”
The first place winner, with her entry “Over the Rainbow,” was Lillian Brown, a fifth grade student in Sarah Yingst’s class.
The second place winner, with her entry “Just Imagine,” was Olivia Kragness, also a fifth grade student in Sarah Yingst’s class.
The third place winner, with her entry “Rainbow Eye,” was Gaby Sanford, a third grade student in Kirk Secraw’s class.
The Honorable Mentions were as follows:
• Magical Musical Feast — Reese Deringer and Della Veitch, second grade students in Carly Kittilson’s class.
• Mad Kat — Teagan Rose and Lydia Walley, second grade students in Carly Kittilson’s class.
• My Rainbow Life — Annabelle Heitkamp, a third grade student in Kirk Secraw’s class.
• Rainbow Eye — Leni Guidaboni, a fourth grade student in Nick Heit’s class.
• Rainbow Person — Myla DeMoe, fourth grade student in Nicole Shane’s class.
• The Bird — Sam Tschida, a first grade student in Courtney Sarauer’s class.
• Rainbow — Sophia Kromm, a fourth grade student in Dianna Dachel’s class.
• Rainbow Octopus — Chloe LaMettry, a fourth grade student in Nicole Shane’s class.
• Tornado of Rainbow — Ellie Wuollet, a third grade student in Jeannett Kiekhafer’s class.
• Sunset Rainbow — Alyda Bergeson, a fifth grade student in Tristan Kittilson’s class.
• The Black Tree — Kamden Strand, a fifth grade student in Sarah Yingst’s class.
• Rainbow Squares — Mya Knutson and Cori Smith, second grade students in Margie Ryan’s class.
• Rainbow Butterfly — Savannah Eide, a second grade student in Jennifer Mohr’s class.
• Rainbow — Briella Zachman, a second grade student in Margie Ryan’s class.
• The Infinity Rainbow — Cadence Gilbertson and Charlotte Marshall, third grade students in Jeannett Kiekhafer’s class.
• Rainbow Fish Tank — Carmen Johnson, a first grade student in Tali Eiseth’s class.
• Black Strip Rainbow — Colton Ayres, a fourth grade student in Nicole Shane’s class.
